Popular Questions to Ask Before Booking a Session
CAN YOU TUTOR MY CHILD IN PERSON OR IS IT ONLY ONLINE?
All tutoring sessions will take place online. However, if you are local to McDonough or the surrounding areas and prefer in-person sessions, I am open to providing in-person tutoring.
HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE IMPROVEMENT IN MY STUDENT?
The time it takes to see improvement in your student after tutoring can vary. It usually depends on factors like the student’s starting point, the quality of the tutoring, and the subject. Improvement often begins to show within a few weeks, but significant progress may take a few months. We can discuss the exact timeline based on your student’s specific needs and goals.
WHAT RESOURCES DO I NEED TO HAVE IN PLACE FOR DIGITAL LEARNING/VIRTUAL LEARNING?
- A desktop or laptop computer. Make sure your child’s device has a working microphone, speaker, webcam and mouse or trackpad.
- A high-speed internet connection
- We recommend using headphones during the session. It will help your child concentrate and hear the tutor best.
WHAT IS THE WEEKLY TIME COMMITMENT FOR HELPING MY CHILD?
The weekly time commitment depends on the level of difficulty your child is experiencing and how soon they need to meet their academic goals. Ultimately, parents can schedule as many or as few sessions as they want.
SCHEDULING
New clients must schedule their initial session by calling our office. Established clients will be given a login to our online scheduling software and may make subsequent appointments online or by phone.
PAYMENTS
Payments have to be made before session and may be made by cash, venmo, zelle or cashapp. We will soon be accepting debit and card cards.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Clients must give 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or students who fail to show up for a lesson will be charged the full tutor fee. Exceptions will be made in the case of emergencies. We ask clients to be considerate of the tutor’s time and make every effort to avoid repeated last minute rescheduling and cancellations.
REFUNDS & CREDITS
- Purchased sessions can be rescheduled, but not refunded. Missed or canceled sessions must be rescheduled.
- Students who grasp their subject-matter sooner than expected typically use their extra sessions to get ahead.
PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is very important to us. We do not provide any of your personal information to outside companies or organizations for any reason. Contact information is collected to register students using our online scheduling software. Information about your child’s academic progress is requested in order to provide the highest quality tutoring services to your student.
